Farm to Pizza

In the winter of ’72 two brothers from South Philly, Joseph and Dominic Marino opened a corner pizzeria in Runnemede, New Jersey. The flour salesman and the high school teacher had no prior food industry experience. They learned as they went but turned to their mother Carmela for recipes that became the foundation of this South Jersey landmark. From the beginning they had two guiding principles: use the best ingredients and treat their customers like family.

My pizza was delicious and I'd get it again but it didn't have enough garlic in it this time.

We stopped in after apple picking and could not have had a better lunch. The flank steak panini was amazing. The chicken cutlet Becky was just perfect. A slice of steak pizza was delicious. The cheeseburger was a double. The pear and walnut salad was perfect. There was nothing we ordered that wasn't absolutely flawless. We took half of everything home. Our 3 year-old daughter was welcome. We certainly will be back Read more
